Lowestoft Town FC are delighted to announce an agreement with Galloper Wind Farm who will become one of the clubs new commercial partners for the 2017/18 season.

Galloper Wind Farm is a 336MW offshore wind farm project, currently being constructed 30km off the coast of Suffolk.

The project will be fully operational in 2018, generating enough power for up to 336,000 homes. Around 700 UK jobs are being created during the construction of the wind farm, and 90 long-term jobs once operational, 75 of which will be in the east coast. Development and construction is being led by innogy SE on behalf of the other project partners, including UK Green Investment Bank, Macquarie Capital and Siemens Financial Services.

LTFC Commercial Manager Sam Hossack said: “Galloper is coordinating the offshore construction of the wind farm from their base at the Port of Lowestoft. There’s a tremendous amount of activity ongoing from there and we felt it made sense to start talks about how we might be able to work with each other in partnership. Galloper were very happy to come on board as one of our new commercial partners here at Lowestoft Town FC for the 2017/18.’’
