Lowestoft Town have been drawn away to Bedford in the first round qualifying of the Emirates FA Cup.

The Trawlerboys will head to Bedfordshire on Saturday, September 2 to start their FA Cup venture.

The 72 teams from level seven of the English football pyramid - the top flights of the Northern Premier League, Southern Premier League and Isthmian League - enter this stage.

They're joined by the 160 victors from the preliminary round, which was played out across the weekend, to set up the 116 ties to be played on the first weekend of September.

The victorious sides will each receive £3,000 from the Emirates FA Cup prize fund and will earn a place in the draw for the second round qualifying, where they'll be joined by teams from the National League North and National League South.
