Following a scan on Friday, forward Kieran Higgs has been ruled out for at least six months with an Anterior Cruciate Ligament injury.

After a successful breakthrough season at Lowestoft Town, the club has received a set-back in the fight against relegation with promising forward Kieran set for a lengthy spell out of first-team action.

Reacting to the news, manager Jamie Godbold said: "Following an injury he picked up at Royston last Tuesday, the results have shown a rupture of his Anterior Cruciate Ligament. This type of injury normally rules people out for 6-9 months and so we are obviously devestated for him. Needless to say he is feeling pretty low, particularly having been through a similar injury a couple of years ago."

"Higgsy has been a key member of the team this season and has excited supporters and scored some important goals. We will certainly miss him in the final few months of the season."

The club would like to wish Kieran all the best in his recovery from injury.
