Harvey's most recent tenure with the Trawler boys was last season, when - on loan from Fleetwood Town - Harvey played 10 games for us in the National League North.

After leaving Fleetwood in the summer without being given a first-team opportunity, Harvey - who left us to join Norwich City as a scholar before a very short second spell with us pre-empted a professional move to the Cod Army in the Football League - signed for National League South club Concord Rangers. He has made 9 appearances so far this season, 6 of them starts, but the travelling to Concord from his East Anglian home was proving to be too much of a financial burden.

Harvey commented "I am very pleased to be returning to Lowestoft. Whilst I make no secret of my ambition to succeed as a professional footballer in the Football League, my time at Fleetwood has taught me that it is very hard for a young player to be given a first-team opportunity. I know that my best route to the Football League is to play senior football week-in, week-out, to gain experience and to wait until I have impressed someone enough that they are prepared to give me a chance in their League team. I have no desire to play Academy football any more - I am not far off 21 now - and so for me it is all about developing as a senior player and learning to impact games more, with more goals and assists. The travelling distance to Concord for training and games was considerable and it was becoming increasingly clear that I was not going to be able to deliver the best performances I know I can under such circumstances, worrying always about the cost of petrol and losing too many hours stuck in traffic! I am grateful to Concord for allowing me to move on and the immediate and obvious decision was to come back to Lowestoft. I am also aware of the situation the club is in financially, and I really feel that I want to play my part in helping the club on and off the field move forward, and to begin with we need to win games and climb up the League table. I was here last season for ten games or so on loan, and to an extent I have to take partial responsibility too for the club's relegation to this division and given everything Lowestoft has done for me I need to deliver some payback now."

Ady Gallagher was delighted to capture Harvey and said "I said recently that if we had the chance to add talented, hungry young players to this football club we would find the way to do so. When I said that I did not know the opportunity to sign Harvey would come up, but I have always kept in touch with him and I have to thank Concord and Harvey's representative Dan Chapman for helping us make this happen. Mostly, of course, we are delighted that Harvey has wanted to return and not only is he a fine, young footballer but he is a fine young man. He has a sense of responsibility and affinity to this football club which is rare to see in the modern game and I really hope supporters will come and get behind Harvey and the team in the coming games. This ought to give everyone a big lift
In my opinion Harvey has the potential to be a Football League player and he has been unfortunate at both Norwich and Fleetwood to not be given a chance, but he may be one of those players who will break through at 21,22 or 23. I am confident that we can help Harvey get there in time and he can do an awful lot to help us, too."
