Matthew Reddy talks to one of Lowestoft Town's newest signings defender Josh Curry about the upcoming season.

Hi Josh, welcome to Lowestoft Town. What convinced you to sign for the club?
I'd say mostly it was Godders because of his style of play. I want to play football this year and I don't just want to lump the ball so that's what has convinced me to come over really.

Any personal targets for yourself this season?
I want to try and be as consistent as I can and play week in and week out. Obviously if I can add goals to that as well then it's a bonus.

Which player do you aspire to play like in the world of football?
I don't know really because as I've gotten older I've moved further and further back the pitch. I suppose John Stones or someone like that because he's a defender that likes to play out from the back.

What is your best asset on the football pitch?
Probably playing the ball and switching play. I feel composed on the ball, my heading ability is decent and I'm a tough tackler but I'm more concentrated on all-round game than individual skills.

Describe the best moment of your football career...
It has to be when I scored against Nottingham Forest in the FA Youth Cup. Also the FA Trophy run last year where we (Mildenhall Town) beat some good teams in higher leagues. I just love being with family and friends everyday.

We thank Josh for his time and look forward to seeing what he can do in a Lowestoft shirt this season.
