Jamie Godbold dropped in to one of our school sessions at Gunton primary.

Reception children at Gunton Primary were treated to a session with first team manager Jamie Godbold last Thursday as he took the time to get involved in our community work.
After taking the session with the enthusiastic reception children Godders said, "It's great to be able to come and get involved in other areas of the club, these sessions are great not only to give children a connection to the club but also because they are getting some really great physical activities that I hope keep them involved in the game - who knows, if i'm around as long as Chappo was I may coach one of the kids today in the first team".

Gunton are one of a number of local schools that have utilised our schools programme and the sessions have been a huge hit with school staff and the children, Head of Education & Football Development, Andy Reynolds said "Our curriculum and extra-curricular sessions so far have really gone down well, and it is great that Jamie can give a little bit of time to support these sessions on top of the sessions he has given our Centre of Excellence, we are nowhere near where we want to end up as a community provider locally but having the support for what we are building from the board of directors through the staff and out in to the town will really help us offer local youngsters some great opportunities and experiences".

If any other schools would like to become a school partner please drop us a line at Academy@LowestoftTownFC.co.uk to find out more.

Up next in our community calendar is our Easter Football Friday sessions - book now to reserve your child a place.
