The club are currently investigating two separate incidents that took place at yesterday's away match at Leiston.

The first of these incidents were racist remarks made towards Leiston goalkeeper and ex-Trawlerboy, Ashlee Jones. As a club we DO NOT and WILL NOT condone any forms or racist behaviour and are urging the person in question to be responsible for their actions and come forward. We are also urging anyone with information to please contact us immediately, so that the club can deal with this in the appropriate manner.

The second incident was an assault on our player Harry Barker, in the clubhouse after the match. The assault was carried out by a player from the opposing side and will be investigated fully by the club, who will also support Harry Barker in any action he may chose to take.

Both of these incidents are extremely disappointing and overshadowed what should have been a great day for Lowestoft Town.

Lowestoft Town Football Club will not tollerate racism, homophobia, violence, etc in any shape or form and will deal with such actions in the firmest possible way.

As a club we share in the disappointment and anger that Ashlee Jones is feeling and can only apologise to him for the actions of someone who has attached themselves with our club on this occasion. The culprit has no place in our club, football or life and we will do everything in our power to bring this person to justice.

Due to the nature of both of these incidents, the club will make no further comment until action has been taken.
