Over the past three years, two of my sons have run in London and Brighton marathons, and we have currently raised £8,235.17 for the excellent Prostate Action charity to research this terrible disease.
As my boys say, Thankfully Dad and his terrible jokes are still about. But not everyone is so lucky.
So now it is my turn to personally help with the fund raising as I make my contribution to what is now known at the Prostate Action offices as Team Badcock.
On Saturday, 26th May Bruce will be doing a Sky Dive at the Sibson Airfield near Peterborough. When asked Why? Bruce can only reply Well Why Not. He has never done one before and dont know what he is letting himself in for when he step's out of the plane.
Prostate Cancer kills one man every hour and research into the disease is drastically under-funded in this country, although good progress is being made day by day.
The people at Prostate Action are doing great work to ensure we it. Also, it is so important that men put their ego to one side, have the courage not to hide from any symptoms they might have and seek early diagnosis.
If you can spare even the smallest amount we would really appreciate it.
You can donate directly at http://www.justgiving.com/BrucesSkyDive or by sending a cheque payable to Prostate Action to Bruce Badcock, 18 Calford Drive, Haverhill, Suffolk CB9 7WQ
THANK YOU
