How pleased are you to have taken on the role as manager?
It’s a situation I didn’t think I’d find myself in but I’m up for it and I want to do a good job for the football club. It’s strange circumstances because Ady was the one that brought me to the football club but both Ady and myself have been in the game long enough and we understand the situation. I’m really pleased to be the manager of Lowestoft Town Football Club.

Will you be making many changes to the style of football that has been played this season?
You have to put on a system or a style of play around the players that you have. Selection will dictate what we do and what we don’t do, obviously the secret is to try and play winning football! But, we don’t have to just play one way because we can adjust. We want to try and be positive and get ourselves up the league - that’s the main thing.

Having been Assistant Manager of the club, do you believe that has put you in a better position to know what changes to make?
I think that once you’re inside, you have a better understanding of the players and get a good feel of the club and where it wants to go. It’s down to me now to impose my philosophy on the football club and see where that can take us.

What is your aim for the rest of the season?
The aim is to try and get as far up the league as possible. We want to try and keep the momentum going so we don’t get involved in a relegation battle. I know there’s a new league structure next season but whether you’re a player, supporter or member of staff you want to try and win as many games as possible.

What is your long-term ambition for Lowestoft Town?
Firstly, it’s got to be a collective effort. We’ve got to stabilize the club in terms of getting fans through the gates, it’s so important to get supporters back in. We need to play a brand of football that makes supporters want to come and watch the team. Finally, the team off the field have to support us and see how far we can go.

Lowestoft Town Chairman, Alan Green, said: "He's been Assistant Manager now for a while and I've looked at his skills and he's very experienced. Dale brings with him a lot of contacts which will be hugely beneficial. When I came on board, I did mention that I didn't make snap decisions and I've thought long and hard about where we go from here. I want to take the club in a new direction and get us back into the National League. I look at Dale and I have every confidence he will take us there."
