Lowestoft U19's 0-9 Bishops Stortford

Lowestoft Town U19's were beaten 9-0 in their first league game of the season.

On a very windy afternoon, a very lacklustre performance saw the young Blues go down 9-0 to an efficient, if unspectacular Bishop Stortford side.

A reasonably bright start soon evaporated and two unfortunate incidents didn't help the young Trawlerboys cause. Goalkeeper, Kai Gillings was taken off injured at 2-0 down while Danny Youngman was sent off early in the second half after a tussle ensued. It was always a big ask playing against a much stronger and older Stortford team who have one of the largest academies in the country and made progress in the National FA Youth Cup.

The lads travel to Barking next Wednesday as league action continues.
